Record Sales for the New Bond

Success Breeds Success

After the extraordinary success of the recent Sebastian Faulks James Bond release, it appears that the success has started to spread.

The reading public seem to have found a taste for Faulks' style of writing.

Faulks' novels Birdsong and Engleby have been working their way up into the bestseller lists and even the audio CD version of Birdsong has started to feature among the audiobook best sellers on Amazon.co.uk.

Quantum of Solace

Along with the success of Faulks' works, has gone a significant upsurge in interest in the writings of Ian Fleming.

Penguin's recently released The Quantum of Solace has done particularly well. This collection of short stories which includes The Living Daylights and View to a Kill has been released to tie in with the upcoming release of the Daniel Craig Bond movie of the same name which should be out in the autumn.

And toy maker, Hornby is set to take advantage of release of the film with a James Bond themed Scalextric set just in time for the Christmas market.
